“It just burns so bright
Regardless of how much we need to let it go…”
The Silencio – Under Lock & Key
The Silencio are set to officially release their latest single, Under Lock & Key on November 5 – an infectious, toe-tapping, upbeat mess of fun that borders on being a punk rock track that is a favourite in their live set.
Speaking about the official music video that is premiering today, right here via Good Call Live, frontman, Jan Nicholas Blom said:
“We wrote Under Lock & Key straight after finishing our previous album and it set us in our new direction despite being one of the heavier songs from this current album. We decided to shoot a live video for it due to the high energy of the song and wanted to specifically shoot it at The Zoo so we could show everyone the effort we’ve put into our live performance.
We’ve worked with David Blackley on multiple occasions now and he gets better and better with his directing with every clip we shoot. Being that he’s based on the other side of the world, he sends us a full script to work from and we’ve teamed up with Matty & Ady of AD8 Films (also known as 2/3 of The Testeagles) who tackle shooting everything as per David’s instructions. We’re so fortunate to be surrounded by such professionals in that field and have already booked the same crew to complete the remaining videos for the album.”
The video was shot during a recent set at Brisbane’s most iconic (& oldest) live music venue The Zoo, filmed by AD8 Films (members of The Testeagles) and produced/edited by David Owen Blackley of Her Name Is Murder Productions (Sepultura, The Amity Affliction, The Cranberries, Pete Murray).
Under Lock & Key was recorded at Core Studios on the Gold Coast, Australia; engineered by Nik Carpenter.
