MVLHOLLAND Shares New Single + Video ‘Chicago’

Byron-based singer-songwriter and multi-talented artist Mvlholland (Grace Mullholland) today shares new single Chicago. Chronicling a tale of love and heartache, there’s a quiet confidence in Mvlholland’s sweet and delicate delivery, an indication that learning to move forward can lead to self-discovery and a type of independence you didn’t know existed. It’s an intimate and honest take on some of the most common shared human experiences and emotions. Recorded alongside frequent collaborator, producer and pal Lachaln Bostock (of Mansionair), Chicago, and the accompanying Charlotte Wighton directed music video, is out everywhere now.

Mvlholland shares: “Chicago is about a love that you’ve lost but know you won’t forget. About all of the little things that lead to the end but you never paid any attention to. The moments that are gone, both lived and forgotten, the things you know will be stuck in your head a lot longer than intended and the feeling that it was all you. I think every heartbreak has a period of time that’s like this, where everything you ever said is questioned and you wonder if one thing had been different, would they still have chosen to go? Chicago is about learning to live in loss and trying to discover a new side of you that you didn’t know existed.”

Serving to cement her status as one of the country’s most exciting up and comers, Chicago follows the release of sophomore single But I Like It, and its predecessor (and Mvlholland’s debut release) 83, which won praise from new fans and media alike including triple j (both tracks were added to spot rotation), 10 Magazine, Pilerats and Life Without Andy, all of which tipped the young artist as one to watch.
