DICE Dish Out Summery Single ‘Double Espresso’

“I can hear what others are hearing with this latest DICE track. Big, free-wheeling rock vibes that you could file alongside current faves like Beddy Rays and Pacific Avenue.”Triple J Unearthed, Dave Ruby Howe

“I like the production of this track. It has the garage sound without the overwhelming bass, which sometimes is the case. Ben H has a charismatic voice that spearheads the song in a cool way that is easy to listen to and enjoy.”Triple J, Nkechi Anele

“Two weeks of lockdown at the moment but DICE are making the inside feel like the outside with this open-air rock. Set this one to some slow motion festival footage and you’ve got yourself a feeling.” – Triple J Unearthed, Tommy Faith

If there’s one thing Aussies know, it’s coffee. If there’s one thing DICE knows, it’s how to create the smoothest, buttery vocals paired with summer indie-rock. Combine these and you get Double Espresso, their latest sun-soaked single.

Just like a good coffee, this one is all smooth, no bitterness.

Featuring airy distorted guitar riffs, driving drums and well-rounded guitars for a tune that everyone will love, it’s reminiscent of Aussie favourites, The VANNS, Spacey Jane and Beddy Rays.

Not only aurally immersive, this track has a message that we’re all too familiar with: The need for caffeine to keep us moving in times where we have a mountain of emails, endless commitments or in the case of DICE, multiple shows, tours, writing and recording sessions.

“‘Double Espresso’ explores the exhaustion that results from partying too hard going hand in hand with playing consecutive shows and the consequences of relying on coffee to get through the seemingly never-ending weekend resulting in countless sleepless nights.”  – DICE

The boys of DICE have spent time in the studio with Sam Ford at Tone City Recording Studio (Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, POND & Abbe May) recording their sixth single, Double Espresso which is another teaser in anticipation of their upcoming debut EP.

Barely a year old, this band’s ambition, drive and talent cannot be understated. From playing their first ever gig as a band in November of 2020, to their most recent headline show selling out an over 450 person venue, DICE’s growth is unstoppable and exponential. Their most recent release Stop Sign secured major Spotify Editorial Playlisting (New Music Friday, Local Noise & Fresh Finds) as well as spins from Triple J Unearthed, and other community radio stations.

“We will be launching ‘Double Espresso’  on Friday the 18th of February at Mojo’s Bar in Fremantle, one of the pioneer venues for Perth music where acts such as Tame Impala and Spacey Jane played their first ever shows.” – DICE

DICE are a band whose sound can only be described as the first day of summer: sunny, memorable and good vibes only.
