With a fist full of steel comes the new track and new music video from Brisbane’s petrol rockers, PistonFist as they officially unleash the long awaited Resent The Day, featuring a badass video created by the talented Kyle Watson of Forty Two Fifteen Video Productions.
The Fist have come a long way and they’ve moved fast with a steadily increasing fan base as they bring their own brand of heavy rock with a good dash of metal to the world. Resent The Day is yet another fine example of the bangers and a full side of mash that they are known for. The track displays the different elements that each member brings to the band with their chosen weapons. With Geoffro leading the pack of unruly musicians, Link, Jimmy and Damien all fit together like some kind of tattooed, angry, in-your-face puzzle.
The music video for Resent The Day features the guys in front of and around some of Brisbane’s most loved live music establishments, such as King Lear’s Throne and through the alleyways of the Fortitude Valley, along with parts filmed at the iconic home of rock, the Mansfield Tavern. The track itself sees Geoffro and Link share the vocals a little more than usual and it’s so good to hear Link screaming down the mic in full force alongside Geoffro’s unmistakable gravel growls. Not to mention those clean vocal parts, it all melds together so well.
Geoffro gives us some insight into the meaning behind the lyrics: “So while most of our lyrics are about trying to rise above the bullshit, this is about the people that try to drag you down to pull themselves up. They will resent the day they f**ked with you. Or it could be taken as you resent the day you gave them any energy at all.”
Resent The Day is taken from the bands upcoming debut album release that fans and followers everywhere are champing at the bit for. With the news that the album will be unleashed in all its glory later this year, Resent The Day is a tasty serving of what’s to come. Hang in there Fist fans, there’s so much more where this came from.
Get all up, in and around Resent The Day, out now on all platforms.

Resent The Day was mixed by Nik Carpenter of Core Studios/Records and mastered by Pez (Ayden Perry) of Shatter Recording Studios. The music video was filmed and created by Kyle Watson of Forty Two Fifteen Video Productions.
