CREED THA KID Unveils New Single + Music Video ‘Swollen’

Brisbane’s swiftly rising star Creed Tha Kid today reveals his brand new single Swollen, alongside an accompanying music video. Following on from his award-nominated single Body Feat. Jaecy, today’s release serves as the second single from Creed Tha Kid’s forthcoming debut EP ‘Mixed Emotions Pt. 1’, due for release later this year via db music / Warner Music Australia.

Talking about the new single, Creed notes that the driving force behind Swollen was a desire to speak his mind, and “represents admitting change and becoming more aware of the people around you or the way they move. Sticking to myself while knowing the people closest to me have never done anything wrong.”

Creed Tha Kid has never let his age define him – instead, he’s made his mark through dropping a string of melodic, silky singles that blur the lines between hip-hop, rap and R&B. Whenever the Māori-Australian artist jumps on a track, whether it’s to deliver an addictive hook or come through with the haymaker bars, people stop and listen. It comes with the charisma and charm that he exudes every time he steps into a room.

Previous single Wind It, which saw Creed listed as a Hip Hop Award finalist in this year’s Queensland Music Awards, clocked praise and support from the likes of Triple J, MTV, Channel VAcclaim, AUdollars, The Rhythm, and Waevz to name a few, as well as additions to CADA, Radio Metro and more.

Creed Tha Kid’s earned the respect of both his listeners and his peers, having previously worked with the likes of A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and DJ Noiz, as well as local heroes Mason Dane, Jaecy, Youngn Lipz and Day1. This has been highlighted through his live appearances, like a feature spot during A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s set at 2020’s FOMO Festival, as well as a tour with American rapper Lil Mosey.

Stay tuned for more from Creed Tha Kid and remember the name.
