Fresh from performing across the country at renowned festivals like BIGSOUND and The Big Pineapple, Melbourne-based songwriter and musician ISHAN today reveals another slice off his debut album with new single, Universe Needs.
Offering another poignant narrative with relatable lyricism, ISHAN delves into the complexities of love, ambition, and self-worth on Universe Needs – highlighting the sacrifices we make for those we care for the most. His voice soars over the track’s triumphant instrumentation, amplifying every moment of appreciation to its fullest.
“Universe Needs is a story about a girl with a once in a generation mind. She is brilliant, and intensely dedicated to her work,” explains ISHAN. “The story is told from the perspective of the ordinary guy she’s in a relationship with. He is regularly neglected by her in favour of intellectual pursuits, but he figures that the best thing for ‘the universe’ is for him to remain committed to her.”
“Even if she takes him for granted and constantly prioritises her work over him, she still needs him by her side. Ultimately, she has so much potential that making a small positive impact on her would be worth more than anything he might achieve in his own ordinary life.”
With the recent announcement of his highly anticipated debut album ‘Who The Hell Is Klara?’ featuring singles My Mouth (la la la), Her Boyfriend’s House, and Make Up Moves, ISHAN will continue his run of exciting live shows with scheduled appearances at Blues At Bridgetown, Queenscliff Music Festival, and NYE On The Hill.
