After their successful debut with Under The Stigmata, RORONOAH look set to make their follow-up mark with their new single Let The Cleaver Swing.

The Brisbane based Deathcore quartet have been building a strong and unique sound that captures the flavour of influences such as: Slaughter to Prevail, Paleface Swiss, Chelsea Grin, Kublai Khan TX and Dying Wish, but also distances themselves enough to establish their own footprint in the genre.

Let The Cleaver Swing draws heavy inspiration from horror films, both musically and lyrically. The song has a strong, hardcore groove like its predecessor, but has introduced a more melodic sound design that is both heavy and atmospheric.

Ryan (Guitar) comments: “We were on a mission to create more musicality with this one, we were able to do that without sacrificing our heavy edge. We have heard nothing but good things about this one, so we are super excited for its release.”

Kalani (Vocals) follows: “With Cleaver I wanted to tell a story through the lyrics, the overarching idea was that this story be told from the inner thoughts of what could be going through the mind of a person with no remorse for the actions they commit, which has always intrigued me. The end goal was to continue this idea through multiple songs, to really delve into the mind of a murderer.”

Troy (Bass) jokingly adds: “I killed a man the other day and thought, wait this is a song!”
