Known for her soulful voice and honest songwriting, emerging Brisbane-based artist Georgia Betts takes a bold new step in her musical journey with the release of her latest single, Room For One.

“It’s a constant balancing act between leaning into the comfort of being with someone else and holding onto the independence that makes you who you are.” Betts explains. In the track, Betts also reflects on how we often crave someone who is similar to us in a partnership, all the while forgetting our own imperfections.
“We always want someone who ‘gets us,’ but we’re oblivious to our own crazy sometimes,” she says. “If they were just like us, it would never work. You need that balance, that difference, to keep things from falling apart. Room For One is about that realisation – about needing space for your individuality to thrive in a relationship.”
Room For One creates an intriguing layer on top of Betts’ folk acoustic roots.
