A deeply rewarding album. Ghostline strikes a unique balance between having plenty to say and nothing to prove.” – David James Young – The Australian

Another near flawless release from this consistently excellent band. Looking backwards has never sounded so beguiling or beautiful.”- Steve Bell – Rhythms Magazine

A sweeping, crisp album inhabited with conversations and memories of best friends, sisters, lovers, jockeys, pub fights and plane flights.” – Tony Moore – Sydney Morning Herald

Two legendary Queensland bands are touring together in 2023, with Halfway and the Apartments joining forces to play shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. The show will be making it’s way to Brisbane on March 18 at The Old Museum!

Halfway were formed in Brisbane, Queensland in 2000. The band have released eight studio albums, all of which have received numerous awards and accolades. Over time, they have developed their own unique style of Australian storytelling, combining indie rock, folk and country music.

The band’s career has been built around heavily themed albums, the two most recent being ‘On the Ghostline, With Hands of Lightning’ (Aug 2022) and ‘Restless Dream’ (Sept 2021), both released through ABC Music

The Apartments‘ Peter Milton Walsh is a mythic figure in Australian music, an elusive émigré whose distinguished catalogue is a treasure trove of gorgeous, literate pop songs hailed as in the line of Burt Bacharach, Jacques Brel and Serge Gainsbourg

Walsh’s story begins in 1978 Brisbane, when he formed The Apartments (and, briefly, joined The Go-Betweens). Signing with legendary UK label Rough Trade, The Apartments won devoted followings in Europe and America. While based in Sydney since the 2000s, The Apartments line-up changes with the territory. Long-term members are based in the UK, France and Australia, with the one constant, Peter Milton Walsh
