Fresh off the back of her acclaimed debut album ‘The Rose of Jericho’, Auckland-based musician and songwriter, Georgia Lines, has confirmed her first Australian shows to celebrate the record this August and September. Including appearances at BIGSOUND, the East Coast tour will take Georgia to Melbourne and Sydney for intimate headline shows that will bring her closer with fans and no doubt, captive newcomers alike.
Having already garnered strong support in Australia for her music over the last year, Georgia’s arrival on the East Coast comes as another accomplishment in what has already been a busy and fruitful 2024. Having won Best Pop Artist at the 2024 AMA’s (Aotearoa Music Awards), following on from her win of Best Breakthrough Artist at the AMA’s in 2022, Georgia’s trajectory forward as an artist and natural storyteller has been impressive to watch.
‘The Rose of Jericho’ took two years to create – a labour of love and meticulous crafting, but the payoff was worth it. The music represented a portrait of an artist with a vision; featuring singles including The Letter and Grand Illusion, Georgia Lines effortlessly was able to weave a vibrant emotional spectrum with lyrical vulnerability and strength in equal measure.
With these upcoming tour dates, Georgia’s impactful music will be transferred to the live stage – an exciting opportunity for punters to see how the energy from the studio flows into the live space.
