Gold-Coast alternative rock artist Ollie Twohill returns with his powerful new single, Rupture, a hard-hitting reflection of betrayal, deception, and the lasting impact of broken trust. With a blend of alternative rock, hard rock and metalcore influences the track delivers an emotional listening experience in tune with Twohill’s ability to pair raw vulnerability with explosive energy.
This track examines the collapse of relationships and the emotional fallout that follows once that trust has been broken. Whether it’s through friendship, family, or romance, Rupture paints the picture of manipulation, hidden motives and the consequences of one’s actions. Twohill is known for his honest lyricism which builds stunning imagery. A gorgeous example of this is the line “Idolising fallen orders, seeping through your sanctioned borders”, which demonstrates his ability to create a powerful narrative of deception and betrayal in just a few words.
Through the first half of 2026 Ollie Twohill has had the chance to share the stage with Murray and the Movers at their Gold Coast show, and was a main support for Internationally awarded songwriter Parker at his Gold Coast show. Throughout his career he has also shared stages with the likes of Stand Atlantic, Budjerah, The Buckleys, Kyle Lionhart, Tay Oskee, Kim Churchill and Ash Grunwald.
Rupture is the latest glimpse into Twohill’s upcoming debut EP, ‘Calamity!’, arriving August 12th, 2026. The five track release will explore themes of addiction, fear, betrayal, ambition, and survival through a blend of hard rock, metalcore, folk, and alternative rock influences.
