Ollie Twohill is a Gold Coast based artist with his new Alt-Rock and Folk fused single Rosary Beads, out today.

The track is a cry and a reckoning touching on self sabotage and the road to looking for a way out. Rosary Beads tells the story of a wealthy man caught in the grip of addiction, and the struggle with mental health. It’s an emotional journey through depression, and the hope of redemption.

Developed from a storyboard concept Ollie Twohill utilises literacy techniques such as character development combined with his technical experimentation of songwriting. It is a raw, emotional journey through depression, pain and the hope of redemption. The song is built around Ollie’s unique guitar riffs with the momentum deliberately interrupted by a stripped back bridge. This moment of pause gives the lyrics room to hit at your heartstrings before the track surges back in with renewed intensity. There is a distinct narrative quality to Rosary Beads that showcases Ollie’s natural story telling ability.

“‘Rosary Beads’ is for anyone out there who is struggling with addictions, anyone who is struggling to find themselves, their purpose in life and especially the ones in a mental battle.” Ollie Twohill

Fans who resonate with Stand Atlantic, Neck Deep, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Blink 182, Queens of the Stone Age, and Nirvana will find Ollie Twohill’s music familiar with emotionally charged and honest tracks with a touch of Ollie Twohill’s Folk roots.

Gifted Balance Records praised Ollie’s music, “People have quickly begun to gravitate to Ollie due to his unique ability to connect with listeners on an immensely deep level through his lyrics and soundscapes.”

This connection is reflected in Ollie’s developed stage craft and finalist position history in band competitions. In addition to headlining his own performances, Ollie has performed alongside Stand Atlantic, Budjerah, The Buckleys, Kyle Lionheart, and Tay Oskee. Most recently, his live presence was recognised with finalist placements in the Passport to Airlie competition in Byron Bay and the Garage Deluxe Band Competition run by Beats Cartel in 2025.

Following the release of Rosary Beads, Ollie will perform the song alongside his latest single CRISIS, released in August 2025, at Wish You Were Here
Festival on March 21 2026.

An independent release supported by Konnection Artist Assistance, Rosary Beads lays the foundation for Ollie’s upcoming EP, furthering the collection of songs that capture the chaos of life’s toughest moments.
