Meanjin/Brisbane-based 17-year-old singer-songwriter Paulina is set to unveil her mesmerising new single Untouched – produced by Tim Bettinson (Vancouver Sleep Clinic) and Luke Jenkins.
Untouched is an inviting four minutes of exquisitely produced pop, led by Paulina’s delicate yet captivating vocals, carrying the listeners’ unabridged attention throughout. Ethereal soundscapes and rich strings create an expansive, solitary bridge, highlighting Paulina’s effortless falsetto, before the track enters its sombre outro, leaving the listener dazzled though ruthful.
Paulina talks about the inspiration behind Untouched: “Untouched is about a secret bond between two people who embrace vulnerability, safety and trust. It focuses on one being the person the other can confide in during the night, and the purity of their good intentions. You could say this song is an act of love.â€
