Introducing Smusko – the brooding voice of a new wave of noir-tinged indie rock, blending smoky 1950s jazz crooning with lush, sinister guitars. There’s a quiet intensity to Smusko—a presence drawn to the solitude of late-night city streets.

Holy Ghost marks Smusko’s darkly triumphant debut, produced by Grant Konemann, whose work on Middle Kids’ latest album earnt an ARIA nomination.

Sung from the perspective of a shadowy jazz crooner, Holy Ghost is a descent into obsession and desire. Through this persona, Smusko explores the darker corners of longing, wrapping his voice in smoke and reverb.

The accompanying noir-inspired music video, shot on an ARRI — a camera renowned for its rich, cinematic depth— against Canberra’s brutalist architecture. The result is a lush, dark, and enigmatic visual experience.

A Music Video and Single Launch at Goodspace Gallery in Chippendale will follow on March 14 and March 29, respectively – TICKETS HERE.
