Kaurna/Adelaide-based indie rock foursome Stormy-Lou look towards a new season of music with Autumnal gloomy rocker Falls Away. Produced by Lucinda Machin (The Tullamarines), this new track embraces a charging drive with crushing guitars and a devastating story that sparks anthemic levels. The release is partnered with a homegrown music video by Eve Burner (Sunsick Daisy) and a Halloween-themed extravaganza at the infamous Tarndanya venue, The Crown and Anchor

Falls Away states its purpose from the very start; the hook ‘HOLD ONTO ME’ belted with harmonies from front-woman Mik Stoker and bassist Alex Flynn Taylor. Unrelenting drums pair with a constant profile of guitars as Alex tells their story of seasonal depression and troubled relationships. Heavily inspired by strong Australian rockers Sly Withers, Carla Geneve, and Gang of Youths, this track is sure to provide a strong bassline for a great new season of music, with the single being featured on their upcoming debut EP: ‘See Ya, Love Ya, Bye!’ (Feb 2025).

Port Adelaide-based creative Eve Burner directs Falls Away music video, a story of seasonal depression and losing loved ones, releasing with the single.

On October 31st, the band celebrates the single with a Halloween Extravaganza at the South Australian Music Hall of Fame inductee: The Crown and Anchor. The show also celebrates the recent ‘saving’ of the infamous venue with Halloween dress-up and performances from The Toothpicks (Gadigal/Sydney) and Perfect 50 (Kaurna/Adelaide).
