Northern Rivers five-piece, Thirst Trap, have just released their new single, Tiramisu. The band are hosting a free gig at The Northern, Byron Bay, tonight to mark the occasion, with local legends The Colliflowers and Band Called Stereo in support.
The song’s infectious rhythm belies its introspective lyrics, which delve into the mental struggles of feeling overwhelmed and pushed to the edge, yet finding the resilience to keep moving forward. It’s a testament to perseverance and embracing the chaos, all set against a backdrop of genre-blurring instrumentation that showcases the band’s dynamic sound.
Since forming in 2023, Thirst Trap has made waves with standout performances alongside British India, Delta Riggs, Lazy Ghost, and Dear Sunday. Their 2024 single, Self Ashamed, gained traction on Apple Music playlists including New Music Daily and The New Rock, solidifying their reputation as one of the most exciting emerging acts on the East Coast.
To close out the year, Thirst Trap will be performing at Best Night Ever at Miami Marketta on December 28, 2024, sharing the stage with an incredible line-up of talent including, Pacific Avenue, The Vanns, The Grogans, Tired Lion, Letters To Lions, Bella Amor, Large Mirage and Ferny Fairway.
Looking ahead to 2025, Thirst Trap are gearing up for their first headline East Coast tour, which promises to be a major milestone for the band, hitting cities they’ve never played at before.
