Los Angeles post-hardcore legends Touché Amoré are heading Down Under this July for an Australian headline tour, bringing their latest album ‘Spiral In A Straight Line’ to stages across the country. Joining them as main support for the entire run is special guests, California alt-rockers Militarie Gun.
The tour kicks off at The Triffid in Brisbane on Thursday July 10, followed by Mo’s Desert Clubhouse on the Gold Coast on Friday July 11, Hamilton Station Hotel in Newcastle on Saturday July 12, and Manning Bar in Sydney on Sunday July 13. From there, Touché Amoré and Militarie Gun hit Dicey Rileys in Wollongong on Tuesday July 15, before heading south to 170 Russell in Melbourne on Thursday July 17, Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide on Friday July 18, and wrapping up at Lynott’s Lounge in Perth on Saturday July 19.
Since forming in Los Angeles in 2007, Touché Amoré have become one of the most impactful bands in modern post-hardcore. They return to Australia after performing at the inaugural New Bloom Festival in 2024 headlined by Movements and Citizen. Their upcoming headliner is set to spotlight the band’s latest artistic chapter while honouring the legacy they’ve built over the past decade. Fans can expect a mix of fresh material and beloved cuts from ‘Stage Four’, ‘Lament’, ‘Parting The Sea Between Brightness And Me’ and more.
Their latest album, ‘Spiral In A Straight Line’, produced by the iconic Ross Robinson (Slipknot, Korn), sees Touché Amoré embracing more dynamic and experimental sounds, while their post-hardcore foundations remain intact. Frontman Jeremy Bolm, alongside bandmates Clayton Stevens (guitar), Nick Steinhardt (guitar), Tyler Kirby (bass), and Elliot Babin (drums), have poured their experiences of grief, uncertainty and personal loss into a new body of work that reflects a different kind of mourning—the pain of drifting apart from someone important in life as paths diverge, rather than loss through death.
The full 8-date tour is supported by Militarie Gun, a truly uncategorisable band. Led by vocalist Ian Shelton, the band’s debut full-length, ‘Life Under The Gun‘, is almost impossible to describe without bouncing between contradictions. Is it abnormally aggressive pop music or is it unusually catchy hardcore? Is it deeply intellectual or is it satisfyingly primal? Is it a vulnerable attempt to unpack lifelong cycles of hurt, or is it a collection of world-beating, absurdist punk anthems? In the end, the answer is obvious: it’s all of it. It’s Militarie Gun. Since forming in 2020, the band have been on a relentless touring streak, tearing across stages worldwide with an urgency that mirrors their sound. Australian fans have already caught glimpses of the chaos—first supporting Hockey Dad, then on their own headline run. Now, they return ready to level the stage alongside Touché Amoré for a tour that promises to be nothing short of unforgettable.
