A Swift Farewell, the emo pop-punk trio hailing from Sydney/Eora, Australia, have released their new single, Salt, today. Produced by Mark Williamson (Inertia, Closure, Keepsake) and engineered by Chris Blancato (Northlane, Vilify, Reliqa), and co-written with Lachlan Cronin, the former guitarist of Yours Truly.

Salt is an energetic and catchy emo pop punk anthem, with dark-toned lyrics that capture the frustration of feeling trapped in someone else’s expectations. The band’s second release for the year. The track is an exploration of the feeling of being demanded to change by someone else, but refusing to comply. The chorus’s powerful message of resistance and the lyrics’ raw honesty will resonate with listeners who’ve experienced the same situation.

“Salt is the first track we worked with someone externally, and we were so excited when Lachlan Cronin wanted to work with us,” explains vocalist Ryo Sprott. “I’ve held on to these lyrics for a while now, and it was a time where I was constantly told I was weird, and no one liked me. But I realise why should I change to someone’s needs?”

Previous releases have seen widespread support from Apple Music, triple j, triple j Unearthed, Joy Media, 5 Triple Z, and idobi Radio (USA), They’ve also received online praises from Alternative Press (USA), AAA
Backstage, Kill Your Stereo, Sound of Oz, Good Call Live, MANIACS and ABC‘s rage.

.The band has recently performed at the beloved Heavy festival ‘Perish Fest, in Naarm/Melbourne with Bloom, Better Half, Future Static and many more beloved heavy acts. This continues on from having recently shared the stage with Yours Truly, Young Lions, Rumours, Clay J Gladstone and Heroes For Hire. With Salt, A Swift Farewell showcases their ability to craft emotive and authentic emo pop punk music that resonates with listeners worldwide. The band is poised to continue their rise to the top of the genre with this new release.
