2025 has been a year to remember for Melbourne’s Beth Seymour. Described as “Australia’s queen of powerpop and punk”, early 2025 saw the artist’s return to music since coming out as transgender last year. Having already released Beth Seymour & The Lizzies’ debut full length ‘You Wouldn’t Like It Inside My Head’ in August, she is already following it up with the release of her second album ‘Outside, You’d Love Me To Death.’

Recorded concurrently, the two albums tell the story of Beth’s journey of self-discovery; her death and rebirth into the person she was always meant to be. While ‘You Wouldn’t Like It Inside My Head’ depicted her darkest days/self-described “breakdown”, ‘Outside, You’d Love Me To Death’ tells the story of her recovery and finding her place in the world as an openly transgender woman.

Containing the previously released singles Sam Raimi and I Only Want To Break Your Heart which have already become fan favourites; the album’s latest single is Don’t Look Down, a huge, slow-burn rocker describing Beth’s complicated feelings about leaving behind aspects of her old life in order to find herself.

‘Outside, You’d Love Me To Death’ was recorded by Beth Seymour in her home studio and mastered by Jesse Cannon at Cannon Found Soundation. The album will be streaming everywhere from November 28th and is available for pre-order now digitally and physically on CD and MiniDisc.
