BODYJAR Release New Single ‘Sound Of The Stereo’

Today, legendary Melbourne punk rock band Bodyjar release their new single Sound Of The Stereo, ahead of their upcoming Australian headline tour.

Sound Of The Stereo is another catchy, anthemic punk rock classic from one of the best to ever do it in Australia or the world for that matter.

Regarding the new single, guitarist Tom Read states; “Being in my late 40’s and having 3 boys, 2 of them teenagers, watching them growing up has brought up a lot of memories from our young days. The shit we used to do. How absolutely glued to the stereo I was. Making compilation tapes. Riding around with mates on our BMX’s and just goofing off.  Now the kids make playlists on their Spotify accounts that I pay for instead of recording the songs illegally off the radio, they don’t even have to pedal their bikes like we used to….!!!”

For over 30 years now, Bodyjar have built their local & international following with relentless touring and blistering high energy live shows, that have made them one of the most respected punk rock bands in the world.

To survive over the years as a critically acclaimed and popular international live touring act takes more than good luck…it also takes determination, integrity and a knack for writing great songs. If you’ve spent any time skateboarding in Australia over the last few decades, your ears would have been assaulted by the sheer melodic mastery of tracks such as Not The Same & One In A Million.

Bodyjar will be hitting the road this July and August to celebrate 25 years of their album ‘How It Works’.
