Brisbane alt-rock band Whose Party return with their second single Dark Inside — a track exploring the tension between authenticity and belonging.
Blending grungy guitar riffs with vocalist-guitarist Ivy Fisher-Elshaug‘s floating vocals, the band deliver a sound where intensity meets emotion.
“I was inspired by the riff from ‘Barracuda’ by Heart. I originally wrote the riff in an odd time signature and we ended up simplifying it. This song is a lot heavier than our others. We’re evolving as we record music, so actually some parts of this song were completely rewritten right before recording it. Surprisingly, that allowed us to be more creative compared to the first song. It’s really exciting to see the band come together and find our sound.” says vocalist-guitarist Ivy Fisher-Elshaug.
