Following a triple j first play overnight, today Australia’s rising star Carla Wehbe releases her brand new single You Make Me Sick via Warner Music Australia. Today’s new offering arrives as Carla embarks on her debut headline tour whilst also supporting global superstars, The Chicks on their Australian headline tour dates.

You Make Me Sick is the first taste of new music from Carla Wehbe following her acclaimed sophomore EP ‘JUPITER AND MARS’ released in March. Hailed as one to watch for her captivating stories and irresistible pop melodies, today’s new offering ushers in a new chapter for the Sydney-based talent.

Heralding Carla’s signature style of blending the nostalgic sounds of the 80s with catchy pop hooks, You Make Me Sick is a dreamy and addictive indie-pop cut that further propels Carla’s unique sonic profile and impressive duality as an artist.

Of the new single, Carla shares – You Make Me Sick is fast paced. It’s angsty. You can dance to it, hype yourself up to break up with a toxic partner, go to a smash room and destroy things to it. It’s really quite versatile.”

Created alongside Kon Kersting (Tones and I, The Jungle Giants)You Make Me Sick is an open letter to her own anxieties. Carla hopes that the song will support and resonate with others through their own experiences with anxiety “(or a really shitty person)” she shares.

With thanks to Warner Music Australia
