Following a huge, 13 date, sold out Australian Tour and 6 ARIA nominations including Album of the Year, rising superstar G Flip has today released Australia, the final piece to their ARIA #1 and ARIA nominated album ‘DRUMMER’. Out now via Future Classic.

Inspired by a love for their home, Australia is a heartfelt ballad that highlights G’s strong and vulnerable side of songwriting. Previously only available on physical formats of ‘DRUMMER’, Australia is now out everywhere. Of the release, G Flip shares: “Australia was a bonus track on my album for anyone who bought the physical album. After singing it across Australia on tour, I knew I wanted to release it as a thank you to my beautiful home and the fans who have supported me there. Those fans gave me a #1 album, a sold out tour, and every bit of success I’ve had in my career so this is really a thank you to them.”

“The song is about missing someone who was once a part of my life but is also a love letter to my home. Growing up my dad listened to a lot of Paul Kelly so I wanted to incorporate acoustic/folk vibes into the production of this song. It’s one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written and I’m so excited it’s officially out everywhere and can’t wait to play it on my US tour for the next couple of weeks.” Adds G Flip.

The accompanying music video, features a recap of G‘s Australian run over the campaign, from the road trip and fan meet-ups in July to the completely sold out tour over August & September.

G Flip’s second album ‘DRUMMER’ debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, Australian Artist and Vinyl Album Chart back in August, marking a chart peak for the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist after their debut, ‘About Us’, peaked at #6 in 2019. This week, G Flip was nominated for Album of the Year for ‘DRUMMER’ at the 2023 ARIA Awards, along with nominations for Best Video for Good Enough (Kyle Caulfield) presented by YouTube, Best Rock Album, Best Independent Release presented by PPCA, Best Solo Act and Best Australian Live Act for the ‘DRUMMER’ Australian tour.

Back in LA, G Flip has kicked off their first US tour with 16 dates now sold out, before returning home for performances at Changing TidesBeyond The Valley, Wildlands and Field Day over the New Year period.
