Post-emo rising stars Hot Mulligan have released their highly-anticipated fourth full-length LP, ‘The Sound A Body Makes When It’s Still’, out everywhere now via Wax Bodega. Focus track It Smells Like Fudge Axe In Here pairs Hot Mulligan’s signature upbeat post-emo melodies with defiant energy and lyrics that hit with a darkly reflective edge. Accompanying the track is an official music video, directed by Michael Herrick, that features a tense Italian chess match gone wrong. The peaceful summertime courtyard scene evolves into a full-on brawl, sending both doves and spaghetti flying.
Previously released singles gave listeners an early glimpse into the visceral and emotionally charged world of the new record. Earlier in the month, the group released Island In The Sun feat. Cory Castro of Free Throw accompanied by a music video featuring candid tour footage that offers a glimpse into the raw, unfiltered energy that fuels Hot Mulligan’s world – WATCH HERE.
