Multi-platinum and ARIA award winning genre-defying Australian artist Illy returns today with the anthemic new single Hopeless with Los Angeles based singer, actress and model Indiana Massara.
Produced by Xavier Dunn and Nat Dunn, this track hears Illy returning to his festival-ready production intertwining his hip-hop and pop influences. “Hopeless is a song about trying, and failing, to shake off someone you know maybe isn’t good for you, but that you love anyway. It’s big and loud and the chorus sounds like the feeling of finally admitting that yes, you’re hopeless with this person, but you’re also completely ok with that”, Illy says of the track.
Hopeless follows his 2022 single Like You and the announcement of his signing to Warner Music Australia. Earlier this year he placed #12 on the triple j Like A Version Hottest 100 with his Ausmusic Month Medley.
Illy is currently out on the road for a massive 25 date regional tour. He kicked off the tour on September 21 in Fremantle, and the tour will see him through to December 23 where he’ll wrap it up in Frankston. Full ticketing details HERE.
“I held Hopeless off my last album because I loved it, and knew when it dropped I needed to be playing it live straight away. And now that we’re here, the wait was so worth it. It’s good to be back” says Illy.
