ARIA-Nominated, Australian pop singer-songwriter, Kita Alexander returns today with her highly-awaited new single Press Pause via Warner Music Australia.
This refreshing pop single immediately captivates listeners with its breezy hook that incorporates a hint of nostalgia along with its reflective lyricism.
Of the summer soaked single, Kita shares, “Press Pause is about the quiet power of being present for someone when their world feels like it’s falling apart. It’s not about fixing things or promising it’ll all be okay — it’s about holding space, staying still, and letting them know they’re not alone in the chaos.”
Earlier this week arrived the news that Kita will support 3 x Grammy and 7 x BRIT Award-winning global pop powerhouse, Dua Lipa on her sold-out 10-date Radical Optimism Australian and New Zealand tour. Kicking off with 5 shows in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena, the tour will then head to Sydney for 3 shows at Qudos Bank Arena and wrap up in Auckland with 2 shows at Spark Arena.
“Touring with Dua is something that has been on my mind for a very long time. She delivers pure energy on stage and next-level pop performances. March and April is going to be such a party” says Kita. “I truly feel so lucky to have the opportunity to share my songs with fans, old and new, across Australia and New Zealand.”
Not one to slow down, Kita has recently signed to live agency One Fiinix for the UK and Europe, home to artists including Ed Sheeran, Olly Alexander and Tash Sultana.
