Gold Coast-based artist Ollie Twohill is sounding the alarm with his new alt-rock/punk single Crisis. Out today, the track is here to shout an unapologetic call-out to our fractured world as a strong footed pillar in Ollie’s evolving career.
Crisis encompasses the struggles of today’s world – rising costs, pressure to succeed, and even the daily battle to get out of bed. It reflects on how, in times when unity is crucial, humanity often grows more divided. A raw and honest anthem for an uncertain future, CRISIS channels Ollie’s signature grit into a fast-paced punch of emotion. There’s an urgency through not just the lyrics, but the production of the track, that refuses to be ignored. CRISIS is a soundtrack for anyone feeling angry, stressed, or anxious about the state of the world.
“‘Crisis’, is the first track in my career where I wrote, composed and performed every single instrument.” Ollie shares, “And this song is an anthem for everyone pissed off with the world.”
Fans of Green Day, Sum 41, Queens Of The Stone Age, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and Eskimo Joe will feel right at home with this fiery, hard-hitting release.
With previous live performances alongside Budjerah, The Buckleys, Kyle Lionheart, and Tay Oskee, and accolades such as nation wide radio play for his single Boots, as well as finalist and second place finishes in major Australian music competitions, Ollie has steadily carved his place as a determined emerging voice in the South East Coast of the Australian music industry. His work has drawn critical acclaim with Roadie Music stating “Every time we come across one of his works, it becomes more evident how competent Ollie is when it comes to writing a song.”
Ollie will celebrate the release of CRISIS with a launch show at Den Devine, Gold Coast, on August 24, 2025, where the singer/songwriter will perform with a live band for the first time and will feature support acts Amira, and BENT – TICKETS HERE. The show promises the same high energy that has made his live sets a must see.
An independent release supported by Konnection Artist Assistance, CRISIS is set to become a rallying cry for the disillusioned and a defining moment for Ollie Twohill’s career.
