With their fourth album set for independent release on May 2nd, today Naarm/Melbourne four piece Press Club share latest single I Am Everything.

Lifted from the forthcoming LP ‘To All The Ones That I Love’, I Am Everything is about the complexities and contradictions of life.

Lead singer Natalie Foster speaks to the track “it’s about the way we carry both light and darkness within us. It reflects on the struggles we face, the vulnerability that comes with being human, and the strength we find in pushing through challenges. Life can be difficult and overwhelming, but it’s also full of meaning and value if we’re willing to look for it.”

There’s a deep need for connection running through the song—a desire to be seen, heard, and understood. It captures the universal experience of battling with inner conflict, confronting doubts and regrets, and finding a sense of purpose in the process. At its core, it’s about the beauty of embracing both the highs and lows of the journey and discovering the gold hidden in life’s challenges.

“I Am Everything came about in a funny way from a songwriting perspective, I recorded the little one bar acoustic guitar part and was just looping it over and over, Frank had to leave the studio for the day and I was desperate to continue working on the song, so I pleaded with him to record a drum-take. He obliged and recorded an entire song’s worth of drums, improvising the song structure as he went along. This ended up on the album unchanged and we built the rest of the song around that take. I love the atmospherics on this song and it was particularly fulfilling to experiment with subtle and not so subtle vocal effects”, says Guitarist and engineer Greg Rietwyk, reflecting on the recording of the track.

‘To All The Ones That I Love’ was recorded at the band’s own studio in Footscray with guitarist Greg Rietwyk on production and mixing, before the album was mastered by Kris Crummett (Closure in Moscow, Dune Rats, Currents). Encapsulating the maturity of the band, the album offers the listener a ride through various genres and traverses themes of introspection, growth, change and learning from past mistakes.

The new track comes with the announcement Press Club will return to the UK and Europe in June for what will be their sixth tour. The month long run includes festival performances 2000 Trees in the UK, Farewell Youth and Not Sorry Festivals in Germany, and performing for their first time in Croatia at INmusic Festival. An abundance of headline shows are also on sale now including an Australian double bill in Hamburg with friends and tour buddies DZ Deathrays.

Bassist Iain MacRae says the band are “totally stoked to be heading back over to Europe for our 6th tour of duty! Time after time it just gets better, and we truly count our blessings to be able to meet so many incredible people and see so many new things – all in the name of rock and roll.”

Before they head off Press Club celebrate the May album release with two hometown shows at The Tote: all afternoon all ages show with support from W.O.M.B.A.T and Good Sniff, followed by an 18+ evening show with Great Australian Bank and Good Sniff.
