Meet Anna Dine, dream-pop songstress with a cynicism showered in glittering synths and lush harmonies. The Sydney artist tackles topics like body image and grieving wrapped in a shimmering indie pop package inspired by Clairo, Benee and Last Dinosaurs.
Anna Dine made waves with her debut in January 2025 by winning the renowned Sonora Song Competition. Since then, Anna has established her presence in the Sydney live music scene appearing in the Marrickville Music Festival, Generate Youth Festival and playing alongside established Sydney acts like Daisy Pring and Lolita Mae at various venues across Sydney including Ryan’s Thirroul, The Chippo, Botany View Hotel and Bootlegger’s.
Today, Anna releases debut single, kind 2 me – a song that punches you in the gut – and is for anyone who has been deprived of the bare minimum, invalidated and ruthlessly gaslit. The track combines lyrical drama with lush synth production to illuminate the powerlessness of being enmeshed in a relationship with someone who won’t treat you with basic dignity.
Anna Dine will celebrate the launch of kind 2 me in October at her single launch October 25th at the Sneaky Possum in Chippendale, followed by a co-headline regional tour later this year alongside Sydney act Cate Guirguis.
