Sydney’s SIENNA SKIES Return With New Track ‘Elated’ + Announce Music Festival

After a huge year of touring on their latest EP ‘Only Change Is Permanent’ Sienna Skies return with the release of their new single and music video, Elated.

“We have been playing in bands for half of our lives, through everything life has thrown at us all, it is still the one constant that we can always find support in. From each other, to the people that hear our music. From playing shows to no one, or to thousands. Elated is about enjoying life, while it’s still there to be lived, because no one else is going to live it for you”, say the band.

To celebrate the release, the band will return to the stage in August, hosting their very own Music Festival at Sydney’s Lansdowne Hotel, featuring a stack old and new friends. Elated Music Festival is a concept created by the band, to give back and create an intimate festival atmosphere for the local music scene. Where music lovers alike can come together and enjoy good vibes and great bands.

Joining Sienna Skies are their long-time friends in Melbourne post-hardcore juggernaut’s City Escape – reuniting and returning to Sydney to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of their ground-breaking EP ‘Avalanches’. Similarly, Harroway have solidified themselves as one of Australia’s best up and coming metalcore outfits. Off the back of their bone crunching EP ‘I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore’ the band has been no stranger the road, earning themselves support tours with Sienna Skies, Make Them Suffer, Ocean Sleeper + more.

The festival will also feature a stacked line up of incredible Sydney bands, as well as some friends from not too far away, including, Alienist (Wollongong), St Sinner (Canberra), Aurateque, Elara and Wicked Envy.

Directly after the bands, Last Words DJs will take over party duty, keeping the good times rolling all night long. Prepare for a night of chaos, catharsis, and nostalgia as they spin everything from My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Bring Me The Horizon and Fall Out Boy to Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Limp Bizkit, Sum 41, Paramore, AFI, Bullet For My Valentine, Pierce The Veil, and way more.

With The Lansdowne‘s new digs adding a licensed smokers’ deck, pool table, arcade games, and even a sex toy claw machine, the party just levelled up and is set to continue long into the night!
