With their new album ‘I Only Trust Rock n Roll’ just released, The Living End begin the ‘I Only Trust Rock n Roll’ Tour this weekend, bringing the raw and unrelenting rock’n’roll energy that first set them apart.
The band are also throwing their support behind the local scene, with a different support artist at every show.

The band will play two huge sets every night: the first set will see them play select tracks from the new ‘I Only Trust Rock n Roll’ album, plus play the full swag of hits that have made them household names over the last three decades – White Noise, Roll On, Who’s Gonna Save Us and more.
The second set will take fans back to where it all started with the band playing their iconic, multi-platinum self-titled debut album in FULL – All Torn Down, Second Solution, Prisoner of Society alongside every other album track.
The SOLD OUT Brisbane show is first up on Saturday November 8 at The Fortitude Music Hall, with Loose Content opening.
A three-piece indie/alt-rock band hailing from the hinterland of Byron Bay, Loose Content are following in the footsteps of bands like The Birthday Party and The Drones, who cut their teeth and built their musical output on residency gigs and tales of shared housing, while Loose Content’s studio sound draws inspiration from artists like The Police, Radiohead, and Midnight Oil.
Having already impressed on the stages of Aussie festivals such as Byron Bay Bluesfest & Woodford Folk Festival, Loose Content have also supported artists such as Magic Dirt, BOA, The Cruel Sea and Rum Jungle.
The Adelaide show on Friday November 14 at The Hindley Street Music Hall will also see local act Coldwave perform to a SOLD OUT crowd.
Blending buzz-saw twin guitars, booming horns and a high-octane live set, Coldwave’s abrasive brand of post-punk is controlled in its chaos. The six-piece’s frantic instrumentation forms the landscape for uncompromising, half-spoken vocal delivery that captures the anxiety and mundanity of the day-to-day.
Having taken out a local slot for Adelaide’s Laneway Festival, the ever-evolving six-piece were an Triple J Unearthed feature artist and selected to showcase at Bigsound 2023.
The Royal Botanic Gardens show in Melbourne (all ages) for ‘Live At The Gardens’ on Saturday November 22 will have the already announced special guests punk rockers Private Function, power-pop band The Prize as well as DJ The Knave.
Lo-fi punk/power pop band PLEASANTS are the support for the SOLD OUT Fremantle Prison show on Saturday November 29. Their fast, catchy, and melodic rock and roll style is reminiscent of 1970s stalwarts Undertones, Protex and Ramones. Their first LP ‘Rocanrol in Mono’ (2023) was released by US label Under The Gun and was followed by an extensive tour of Western Europe.
Wrapping things up in Sydney on Friday December 12 at the all ages Sydney Opera House Forecourt show for ‘On The Steps’ are Southeast Desert Metal.
Born in the remote community of Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa), on Eastern Arrernte country, the band began as a vehicle to share culture and inspire young people to embrace their ancestry.
Southeast Desert Metal mix the heavy riffing of influences of Black Sabbath and Judas Priest with precision groove. Their isolation, over 1000 kilometres from the nearest city, fuels their unique sound.
Their self-titled debut album (2015) and ‘Break The Silence’ (2018) earned national recognition, and took them around the country multiple times. Their powerful reinvention of Midnight Oil’s Beds Are Burning, sung partly in Arrernte, bridges worlds. Featured in the acclaimed documentary ‘Desert Metal Dreaming’ (2021), Southeast Desert Metal have made an indelible mark on Australia, always carrying the spirit of their ancestors.
On the verge of releasing their third album, Southeast Desert Metal are more than a band, they are loud and proud storytellers who channel the vastness of the desert into a voice that echoes across the world.
