Gamilaraay artist Thelma Plum is heading out on a mammoth Australian tour, hitting a stack of regional centres, along with Perth and Canberra on her ‘I’m Sorry, Where Is That?’ tour. After launching her album ‘I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back’ and selling out prestigious metro venues last year, Thelma will be bringing her mesmerising live set to some of the most beautiful (and remote) spots across the country.

The 19-date tour will see Thelma and her band take to stages in Perth, Margaret River, Wollongong, Canberra, Albury, Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay, Castlemaine, Ballarat, Barwon Heads, Gosford, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Traralgon, Frankston and Shepparton. In addition, she’ll be playing festival sets at the Kimberly Moon Experience in WA’s Kunnunurra, Barunga Festival in Northern Territory and the renowned Dark Mofo in Tasmania’s Launceston.

Thelma says, “I am a country girl at heart, and I love touring, and I’m so excited to take my band out on this extended jaunt through the country. My album tour last year was so much fun and it didn’t seem fair to not try and visit as many places as we could. I can’t believe I actually get to go to some of these places and sing! What a dream!

Teaming up with the folks at triple j Unearthed, Thelma is handpicking emerging artists to join the tour as support openers at select shows. For more details about the Unearthed competition, head to triple j Unearthed.  Entries close May 5.

Renowned for her enchanting live shows, Thelma has been praised for her “commanding stage presence ” bringing both “introspection and intimacy” (Sydney Morning Herald). Fans will experience a swarth of selections from Thelma’s latest album ‘I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back’ in live form, complimented with cherished tracks from her ARIA-charting discography like Better in Blak, Homecoming Queen and Clumsy Love.

In her own words, Thelma’s latest album was “created with love, heartache, forgiveness and care in mind” and includes beautiful tracks like Hurricane, Nobody’s Baby, We Don’t Talk About It and the Rolling Stone Best Single award winning Freckles.

Breaking ground with plenty of accolades under her belt, Thelma’s 2019 release ‘Better In Blak’ became one of the most successful albums that year, earning her 7 ARIA nominations and spawning three Platinum singles and one Gold. The title track Better In Blak landed a top 10 of the triple j Hottest 100 that year, resulting in the highest ever placement for an indigenous artist at the time and also earned her the prestigious Vanda and Young ‘Song Of The Year’ Award.
