Black activist group A.B. ORIGINAL have released the official video to their uncompromising new track, Yes ft. DJ Total Eclipse & Marlon.
Shot and directed by the award-winning Australian cinematographer Ellery Ryan, the ‘Yes’ video was filmed on location in Briggs’ hometown of Shepparton on Yorta Yorta Country and stars A.B. Original with DJ Total Eclipse and Marlon.
Scenes of the ‘Yes’ video clip were filmed at local favourites, The Star Bowl, Shingo’s and Casablanca; as well as the inaugural Now & Forever 2023 concert.
Featured in the clip are the revered music talent who performed at Now & Forever – BARKAA, Baker Boy, Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes and Hilltop Hoods, as well as locals from Shepparton and Yorta Yorta Mob. The ‘Yes’ video includes not only the powerful onstage performances but behind the scenes moments from the all-ages, all-inclusive Now & Forever concert event.
The Now & Forever 2023 concert event, showcased a line-up of revered music talent, standing in solidarity with community amplifying the YES vote for the impending Indigenous Voice referendum.
At the heart of the track ‘YES’ remains an extension of the simple, generous invitation to walk with First Nations peoples towards a better, more inclusive, and more equitable future Australia.
