Gold Coast artist ALBII confronts the cost of ambition on her new alternative hip-hop single, What’s The Point? As a cancer survivor, the singer songwriter brings a deeper sense of introspection to the track, channelling her resilience into a song that feels both urgent and controlled.

Caught between society’s standards and our own inner demands, the song captures the tension of wanting everything, and wondering what it costs. Energetic yet ethereal, the track unfolds through ALBII’s captivating vocals, layered with guitars, piano, synth, horns and flute.

In just twelve months since the start of her music career, we have seen ALBII hit #4 in the Top 50 Ozindi countdown and became a finalist with an honourable mention in the International Songwriting Competition with her breakout single Hold On (Psycho). Since then she has been featured in publications including CLASH Magazine and Illustrate Magazine for her release PTSD, and performed as a support act for Parker on his first international tour.
Sitting at the edge of alt-pop, hip-hop and electronic, ALBII’s sound carries shades of Melanie Martinez, Billie Eilish, BENEE, Alison Wonderland, Lorde, The Cat Empire, and K.Flay. For listeners already pulled into her orbit, her music feels immersive and unfiltered, with moments that feel beautifully fumbled.
