Fresh from a run supporting Griff in Europe and the UK, Australian pop luminary CXLOE has released her new single Shapeshifter.

Says CXLOE of the gritty bouncy track; “Shapeshifter embodies the essence of fluidity in identity and my refusal to be pinned down! I wanted to write something empowering that makes people feel untouchable when listening/dancing to it.  There’s an undeniable allure in maintaining an aura of mystery and keeping some cards close to your chest…there’s something so sexy about being out of someone’s grasp. I also wanted to make light of the struggle I face, and many other dedicated introverts, when in social situations, we feel we have to morph into something we’re not just to cope. I find myself having to be a chameleon in many aspects of my life and wanted to write a song that would give me and others a boost of confidence to make it out alive !”

The track will be featured on CXLOE’s highly anticipated debut album, ‘Shiny New Thing’, which will be released on 17 May. ‘Shiny New Thing’ promises to be a journey through the preservation of identity and embraces the fact that artists can be multifaceted without compromising their authenticity in pursuit of becoming the next ‘Shiny New Thing’. With each track meticulously crafted to showcase CXLOE‘s dynamic range and artistic vision, the album is poised to solidify her status as one of Australia’s most exciting musical talents.

CXLOE ended 2023 with singles Till The Wheels Fall Off and Cheating on Myself which will both feature on ‘Shiny New Thing’ alongside 2024 singles Chloe Enough and No Service.

Boasting writing credits with the likes of Andrew Wells (Bebe Rexha), The Futuristics (Selena Gomez), MAG (Bebe Rexha, Zara Larsson, Astrid S), BOYBOY, Louis Schoorl (5SOS, Charlotte Lawrence), Justin Tranter (Julia Michaels) and Ross Golan (Ariana Grande) to name a few, CXLOE has spent time honing her craft between her hometown in Sydney and Los Angeles.

CXLOE has enthralled audiences with her live show from her own headline tour, to supporting the likes of Peach PRC, Broods and King Princess, and playing festivals including at Beyond The Valley, Falls Festival and more.
