Today, Brisbane based indie-rock trio Bean Magazine have announced that their fourth EP ‘FOLLY’ will be released on Friday 6 June via Purple Phase / Warner Music Australia.
Alongside the announcement they have unveiled the melodic and sincere new single Share You, and the official music video.
This breezy track about taking a step back from always being “all in” follows in the footsteps of recent lead single Free As Hell.
“Telling someone how you truly feel is a daunting, heart on the line experience. Rejection nagging every moment in which you try and get your adoration across. This song is kinda the opposite. I don’t want to share my time with anyone else but I’ll also make it seem like I don’t and play it ‘cool’. ‘Share You’ came at a time where we all happened to find ourselves in tedious situations regarding our personal lives/relationships. As a band we’d spoken about offering some slower stuff to break up our lives and give the people out there a well earned rest. This tune echoes that sentiment and then some,” lead singer Henry Creamer explains of the song.
Bean Magazine are heading out on the road this May – July on a mammoth 28-date national tour with Brisbane royalty Ball Park Music. Kicking off in Forth, Tasmania on Friday 22 May, the extensive tour will see them hitting Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, Australian Capital Territory, and New South Wales. All tour details available HERE.
Produced by Sam Cromack from Ball Park Music, last year’s EP ‘In The Shade’ featured the singles Old Or Young, Chicken, Nobody Wore Shoes, FIRE and Don’t You Die. This upcoming tour with Ball Park Music feels like a pure celebration of all the hard work Bean Magazine have been doing with Sam behind the scenes and acts as a showcase for ‘FOLLY’ which they have reunited with Sam for.
Henry Creamer (guitars and vocals), Gabrielle Beiers (drums) and Seb Baren (bass) effortlessly blend punk energy, sensitive lyrical sensibilities and classic rock riffs to create songs that will never leave your head. 2024 saw them hitting the road supporting The Rubens, Hockey Dad and Rum Jungle on their respective tours, as well as performing at BIGSOUND and SXSW Sydney.
