After a whirlwind year, which saw her illuminate stages at Nashville’s CMA Fest and The Bluebird Cafe, country music trendsetter Chloe Styler returns with the dreamy bop, Heartbreak Heaven.
Chloe has constantly pushed the barriers of country music with her synth-driven country pop sound. Set to a dance-worthy groove of electronic and acoustic tones, Heartbreak Heaven traces a thin line between bliss and madness, as Chloe rides the rollercoaster of romance.
When crafting the lyrics, Chloe turned to friend and collaborator, Sarah Buckley (The Buckleys). “I had the song title swirling around in my head for a while and knew Sarah was the perfect person to bring it to life with,” admits the singer-songwriter. The pair were first connected in 2020 for a zoom co-write, which resulted in Chloe’s previous single Girlfriend. Fast forward a couple of years (and one failed relationship later), Chloe took a day trip to Sarah’s family home in Byron Bay and poured her heart out to her friend over coffee.
“I was in this back and forth with my boyfriend at the time where the highs were so intense I felt like I was up in the clouds, but the lows pulled me right back down to reality when things got hard,” she recalls.
The result is a bittersweet heartbreak anthem – fun, upbeat and catchy as hell. Produced by ARIAaward winning producer, Andy Mak (Vera Blue, The McClymonts), it’s a fresh sound for Chloe that leans into her pop sensibilities, while staying true to her country story-telling roots. It’s the perfect bop to help pull you out of your post-heartbreak funk and get you grooving into summer!
It follows on from Chloe’s previous single, Hometownless, which the singer-songwriter performed live for her debut appearance on national TV’s, Studio 10. 2023 has been a massive year for Chloe, having released 2 EPs, been nominated and performed at the 2023 Gold Coast Music Awards and showcased her talents in global country music mecca, Nashville, TN.
The young star not only performed at the prestigious CMA Fest, alongside a host of international mega-stars, but also appeared at the Sounds Australia showcase and debuted inside the hallowed walls of The Bluebird Café.
