Eora/Sydney-based pop-rock band Loretta have just revealed their debut EP ‘Never Thought Of Growing Up’ – produced by Loretta’s own Nico Scali and recorded/mixed by Nicolas Mendoza (Lara D, ONEFOUR, PANIA).
‘Never Thought Of Growing Up’ features six anthemic pop-rock tracks that explore the bittersweet beauty inherent in growing up. Encompassing themes of youth, growth, and self-discovery, the compilation delves into universal coming-of-age experiences.

What Do We Become opens with a captivating blend of ambience and acoustic guitar picking, creating an ethereal aura. Rising synths weave through conversation snippets as Ellis Hall‘s melody soars against crashing cymbals and rolling drums, before second track All My Friends (Are Your Friends) hooks the listener with its glistening and infectious chorus.
Hope You’re Happy unfolds as a nostalgic journey with melancholic synths and heartfelt lyricism that fall into a warm and cinematic chorus. The larger-than-life bridge transitions into a grand and euphoric finale, enhancing the emotional depth of the track.
Halfway Home (Interlude) provides an enchanting instrumental break with sparkling synths and sliding electric guitar, dripping in reverb before focus track How To Swim continues the immersive soundscape, connecting the tracks cohesively and providing a sense of familiarity within the record.
To celebrate the release, the band will be embarking on an East Coast Tour across QLD, NSW and VIC, including a headline hometown show at Oxford Art Factory supported by youproblem, Harper and Pretty Talks.
Singles off the EP have been widely embraced by Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, triple j, triple j Unearthed and Australian community radio stations such as FBi Radio, 2SER, 4ZZZ, SYN Media and Gove FM.
