Gold Coast singer-songwriter Chloe Styler is back with a bang, dropping her latest single Time Bomb, a reflection on love and heartbreak.

Time Bomb is a captivating blend of modern country and sugary indie pop. Written and recorded with chart-topping producer duo, Michael DeLorenzis and Michael Paynter of MSquared, the track was fuelled by the breakdown of a relationship. Not even two weeks after the breakup, Chloe jumped on a flight with song ideas in tow and got to work!

“I really enjoy songs with intimate and personal lyrics, so we threw caution to the wind with this one and went as personal as we could!” recalls Chloe“Every lyric is true to the timeline of my past relationship; starting with our first date ‘mini golf on the coast, pizza, picnic, moving slow’, to dates we shared ‘Pisces, Leo, weekend hikes’, then of course to how we ended ‘we were a time bomb, you and me, just a love turned into smithereens’.”

The accompanying music video was directed by Jazmyn Smith (Jazmyn Produces), the mastermind behind Chloe’s previous clip Hometownless, which hit #11 on the CMT chart. With stylist Tamzen Holland and hair & makeup artist Reanin Glah on board too, Chloe felt she had the dream team. “I feel so lucky to have worked with such incredible creatives on this music video”.

The fun-loving clip offers an authentic glimpse at the artist, while showcasing her love of fashion. “I have such a clear vision when it comes to my sound and visuals that I find comfort and joy when it comes time to start sorting the looks for shows and videos. I’m really proud of this music video and the visual world we created for the viewer – which is basically an inside look into my mind with lots of colour, flowers and goofing about!”

Chloe’s distinct sound has garnered praise from critics and fans alike, with triple j Unearthed’s Anika Luna describing her music as making you “feel as though you’re floating on a cloud.” Apple Music notes that Chloe “bridges modern country and indie pop,” while Blank Street Press praises her unique take on country pop, calling it “hypnotic.”

Chloe has made huge waves on the live circuit recently, performing in Nashville at The Blue Bird Café as part of the Sounds Australia showcase and at the world’s largest country music festival, CMA Fest. She’s opened for renowned artists such as Taylor HendersonTroy Cassar-DaleyFanny Lumsden, and most recently at the 2024 Tamworth Country Music FestivalLee Kernaghan. In the coming months she’ll make tracks around South-East QLD with a number of shows, including QLD Music Trails in Nindigully, supporting Travis Collins.  She’s also set to open for Go West and Nik Kershaw on select dates for their forthcoming Australian tour in March.

The songbird’s bubbly country-pop blend has garnered several accolades in recent years.
