Frontier Touring are pleased to announce two special, intimate acoustic performances by Foo Fighter guitarist, podcast host, songwriter, and all around rock-and-roller Chris Shiflett, who brings his alt-country and Americana-influenced new album ‘Lost At Sea’ – released last Friday via Blue Élan Records – to Melbourne and Sydney fans this December.

Headed to Australia next month to perform six huge stadium shows with 15-time GRAMMY nominees Foo Fighters, while on our shores the acclaimed singer, guitarist and songwriter will perform two intimate, special acoustic shows for fans: Melbourne’s The Workers Club on Tuesday 5 December, and The Great Club in Sydney, on Thursday 7 December.

“Touring Australia is always a blast and I’m excited it worked out to schedule these solo acoustic shows between the big ones. Better re-string my J200 and dust off my capo!! I’ll be playing some tunes from my new record, Lost at Sea, as well as my last couple records and a few covers. Might have to learn a couple Jackson United ones while I’m at it!” – Chris Shiflett

Featuring songs largely written during lockdown, ‘Lost At Sea’ is the latest album from the modern-day guitar hero, the follow-up to 2017’s ‘West Coast Town’ and 2019’s ‘Hard Lessons’. Shiflett did most of the recording in Nashville, working alongside producer and collaborator Jaren Johnston – frontman of the Cadillac Three, as well as the songwriter behind nearly a dozen Number 1 country hits – and a small cast of Americana all-stars. “We made a guitar-centric record that encapsulates everything I’ve been listening to over the years,” he explains, “from the most country songs I’ve ever recorded to punk rock and even songs that sound like a California version of The Clash.”

Punk veteran. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Americana and rock songwriter. For more than 25 years, Chris Shiflett has blurred the lines between genre and generation, balancing his full-band projects with a thriving solo career. Named “Americana’s biggest rockstar” by Rolling Stone, Shiflett has played a crucial role in shaping the sound and scope of modern-day rock music as a longtime member of the Foo Fighters. He’s also an alum of California-based punk rock bands No Use For a Name and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Shiflett’s latest releases refocus his attention on a mix of country twang and rock & roll bang, showcasing the full range of his musical abilities. ?

Don’t miss this chance to catch Shiflett up close and personal at these special shows. Tickets on sale Thursday, get in quick!
