Naarm/Melbourne-based indie-rock artist Jacob Fitzgerald has today revealed a captivating music video for his latest single Hurt Me Harder – directed and edited by Cameron Mitchell (OneHouse Productions).

Shot in Wopetbungundilar/Horsham, Victoria, at Golden Grain Motor Inn??????,? the video depicts Jacob physically engaging himself with the music, as he sways and dances throughout various rooms. Featuring some enchanting cinematography and confronting VFX makeup, the video is a nod to the song’s moving sentiment.

Jacob talks about the inspiration behind the clip: The brief for this video was to capture the ‘insanity’ in the visual form. We used isolating imagery and VFX makeup to highlight exactly what this song is about. The evolving level of damage and bruising paired with the projection of happiness is utilised to convey that whilst we may say we’re feeling a certain way, that often isn’t the case.”

Jacob Fitzgerald is set to traverse the East Coast of Australia alongside Cheap Date and False London, with performances scheduled at The Brightside in Meanjin/Brisbane, The Lady Hampshire in Eora/Sydney, and Stay Gold in Naarm/Melbourne.

In the live arena, Jacob Fitzgerald has sold out multiple headline shows at beloved Naarm/Melbourne venues Cherry BarStay Gold and Wrangler Studios. His live show has landed him supports alongside Fergus James, The Delta Riggs, The RionsJohn Floreani (Trophy Eyes), Selfish SonsLoose BricksThe Good Love and Chasing Ghosts.
