Meanjin/Brisbane-based R&B/soul artist Jordan Briton has unveiled his immersive new single make it so easy feat. JUNO – produced by the artist himself and JUNO‘s Sam Woods.

make it so easy fuses elements of R&B, funk and soul to create a genre-blurring, sultry alt-pop exemplar. Crisp percussion and funk-laden baselines compliment JUNO frontwoman Kahlia Ferguson and Jordan Briton‘s expressive vocals to create a lush and timeless blend. The meticulously crafted arrangement and velvety guitar melodies culminate in a gorgeous, vintage piano outro.

Jordan Briton talks about the inspiration behind make it so easy feat. JUNO: “On the surface, it’s about a couple’s first connection. Sparks flying. However, while we live in a fast world of swiping left or right in hopes of a genuine connection, for those who have the scars to prove, it takes time to really build something with someone that lasts. This part of love is difficult. But when you do meet the right person, it just feels so natural, effortless, and well, easy.”

Jordan Briton was recently announced as a finalist in the 2023 Queensland Music Awards for his single Lights Out feat Roman MC. His previous releases have also been embraced by Australian community radio stations such as FBi Radio and 4ZZZ.

Born in the USA and raised in Australia, Jordan Briton is the moniker of Jordan Pineda, drawing inspiration from his Filipino heritage and luminaires Tom MischMac Ayres and RINI. Jordan shares, “My Lola and Lolo were born and raised in the Philippines and they worked hard and overcame a lot of hurdles to provide a different life for us here in Australia. I am very grateful for their sacrifice which has given me the privilege to pursue my passion.”

In the coming weeks, Jordan Briton will reveal an accompanying music video for make it so easy feat. JUNO.
