In a musical landscape dominated by a plethora of talents, KLP stands out as a luminary, a go-to writer, vocal producer, and collaborator for artists worldwide. With the release of her captivating new single Symphony, KLP sets the stage for her highly anticipated EP, scheduled for release in June, and further announces an exhilarating national tour kicking off this weekend in Sydney. With an impressive repertoire of credits, KLP‘s contributions have left an indelible mark on the global music scene.
Following the success of her hard-hitting and seductive single Body Close, and the electrifying collaboration Freedom with Loods released on Diplo‘s esteemed tastemaker label Higher Ground, KLP is underscoring her versatility as a house music artist, combining rave and techno influences into her already established production prowess.
As she kicks off the year with her latest single, Symphony, KLP continues to captivate audiences with her signature sound. With its pulsating bassline, infectious piano hooks, and irresistible topline, Symphony sets the stage for what promises to be a scintillating anthem.
Reflecting on the collaborative process behind Symphony, KLP shares, “I started this one at my studio in Marrickville, and for ages, it was a really raw track idea and vocal that I couldn’t get out of my head. I couldn’t quite figure out what exactly to do with it, so I sent it out to a few different friends to see if they could help get it sitting where I knew it could land. Loods and Dave Winnel both hit me back, and together we all got it sitting sweet how you hear it now. Dave really helped get the bed sitting nice, and Loods came in with those hot keys that really just gave it the right energy I was looking for. The end result is a melancholy but hopeful earworm that just keeps running in my head! It’s the first track off an EP coming over the next few months… stay tuned.”
For years, KLP has been celebrated for her multifaceted talents as a radio host, producer, and vocalist. However, it is her unparalleled prowess as a writer and vocal producer that has garnered her widespread acclaim and recognition. Her self-recorded and produced vocal works tend to be the final production used within the song, a skillset renowned in the industry for its refinement.
From her recent vocal writing and performance on Sonny Fodera & Marten Horger‘s electrifying track Levitate, and Loods’ single Freedom, KLP has consistently delivered standout performances that have resonated with audiences worldwide. Her creative genius extends to her work with artists such as Peking Duk, where she lent her vocal writing expertise to the track Honest, nominated for ‘Most Performed Dance Electronic Work’. Additionally, her contributions to Skrillex‘s Goh and What So Not‘s Jaguar underscore her ability to elevate tracks with her distinctive vocal stylings.
Amidst her ascent to international stardom, KLP was recently selected by Mall Grab to participate in the APRA songhubs writing camp at ADE, working with esteemed artists such as Kettama, Flansie, and David Jackson and more. With a myriad of demos and collaborations in the works, KLP’s presence on the global stage continues to expand.
In addition to her forthcoming EP, KLP is set to embark on a national tour, captivating audiences with her electrifying performances and infectious energy. With her unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new sonic territories, KLP continues to solidify her status as a preeminent figure in the global music scene.
