“Sunday, much like the day of the week, kicks off lazily but builds into something you might not expect.”  – Tim Maxwell, LOSER

LOSER’s drip-fed EP ‘Stadium Dreams On A Bedroom Budget’ is nearing its final stages with the release of the second last single, Sunday. Maintaining their position as one of Australia’s premier alt-rock bands, they share their spin on the classic rock structure of oscillating intensities.

Sunday continues the mapping of LOSER who share their knack for crafting hooky melodies with pure diesel burning, face-melting solo’s. They lean fully and confidently into the alt-rock genre and gaining high praise and acclaim for their refined take.

This release follows on from previous single Only One, released in February, which saw the band also announce their 6-date east-coast in May tour in support of the completion of the EP. In addition to the tour, LOSER also announced a rarer-than-rare limited vinyl edition only available to one lucky punter at each stop of the tour. Randomly chosen on the night this is one bit of merch money can’t buy.

Accompanying this release, LOSER will be releasing a live-performance video, inviting viewers a glimpse at what’s to be expected at their live show. Filmed at Restless Noise Studio, the band’s own home studio, they say “We wanted all the music videos for the release to be live performances. We also wanted to show people that we can actually play our own instruments. It’s funny that in 2023 that has become a point of difference, but we don’t wanna hide behind technology, because when it comes to performing we’re the real deal.”

Like previous releases, Sunday, was recorded at Restless Noise Studios, with production handled by band members Craig Selak and Tim Maxwell, the latter of whom also mixed.  To close out the team, the track was then mastered by George Georgiadis at Little Wing Sound (The VANNS, Gang Of Youths).

The previous 4 drip-fed singles have soared to over 110k streams and showcase LOSER at their most comfortable. With nominations for both the Australian Music Prize and ‘Punk Album of the Year’ in the 2022 AIR Awards alongside triple j rotations, NME feature articles and a Scenestr magazine front cover it’s clear their riffed-out power has found a receptive audience in Australia.
