Prepare for a sonic sucker punch! Pop-punk polymath and rising starlet MAGGIE LINDEMANN is officially headed down under this May for the first time ever, armed with her electric live show and her colossal 2022 debut album ‘SUCKERPUNCH’ for three special Australian shows.
Kicking off on Thursday 4 May at The Prince in Melbourne, MAGGIE LINDEMANNÂ will then make her way to The Triffid in Brisbane on Saturday 6 May, before closing out on Sunday 7 May at Crowbar in Sydney.
A flourishing artist, social media style icon and entrepreneur, MAGGIE LINDEMANN has amassed over one billion streams in the last two years, with her hotly anticipated debut full-length ‘SUCKERPUNCH’ making spellbinding waves worldwide upon release in 2022. Praised for its versatility, striking vocals and empowered subject matter, SUCKERPUNCH offered fans and  MAGGIE LINDEMANN herself a chance to dive deeper and revel in lush, dark and infectious musical terrain, with hyper pop-meets-glam-goth dominating the album’s overall aesthetic.
“When I was making this, I had those blows in my own life; when I listened to the album back from start to finish, I realized the entire thing was a sucker punch – for myself, for my fans – and I knew it had to be the title,” shares Maggie of her 2022 opus. “Writing is my therapy, my way to get what I’m feeling and thinking and going through out so that I can try to move on from it. With this album, I finally knew: ‘I need to let go of this stuff, so I’m just going to write about it.’ I have control over my own life now. I have control over my music and what I want to say, what I want to do, and how I want to do it.â€
Following the release of her breakout 2016 single, Pretty Girl, MAGGIE LINDEMANN has steadily evolved into one of the most enigmatic and powerful artists in the modern alt-pop scene. Boasting over 5.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, over 414 million views on YouTube, sold out headline shows, an appearance at VooDoo Music + Arts, featuring Guns N’ Roses, Post Malone, Beck and more, as well as supports alongside the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Madison Beer and The Vamps, Maggie‘s star is only set to shine bigger and brighter in 2023; and Australian fans can finally witness this magnetic pop dynamo live in action this May.
