In a year that saw the band make their grand debut, 2022 was a year of many highs for Mt. Nadir. Playing across a variety of festivals, selling out their debut single launch and being played on Triple j, Mt. Nadir have only gone from strength to strength since their debut show in March of last year. 2023 kicks off for Nadir with the release of their third single You & Me – OUT NOW!

You & Me was engineered and mixed with the band’s close friend Emily Hopley at Airlock Studios in Meanjin/Brisbane. Mastering for the track was done by Matthew Gray at Matthew Gray Mastering.

“‘You & Me’ is about yearning for a partner, a soulmate. It’s the deep part of you that says everything will be okay if I just find my person. That ideal part that imagines the wedding, the two kids, the house in the suburbs,” Front person Frankie Rosbrook says on the meaning.

They add, “But this future feels so far away, so impossible. Because wherever you look, wherever you vibe or flirt, there is nothing coming your way. Nothing. So all you can do, for now, is put on your best suit, your nicest dress, and dream.

Mt. Nadir burst onto the live scene early last year packing out their debut show and have made little effort to stop since. This saw the band playing in lineups alongside the likes of Holy Holy, Tia Gostelow, Beddy Rays, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers and Hope D.

Off the back of releasing their debut single Pain, Nadir sold out their debut single launch at the Bearded Lady in Meanjin and were also played on Triple J’s Home & Hosed & also Out To Party, which is a program they ran recently during World Pride promoting queer artists.

Following the release of You & Me, Mt. Nadir are launching the single at Black Bear Lodge, Brisbane on March 17th with fellow Meanjin bands Big Dinner & Dog God – Tickets HERE!

YOU & ME IS OUT NOW + stay tuned for Mt. Nadir‘s debut EP coming in May
