Brisbane Indie Rockers, Paper Lane, are faking love like it’s art in their new single, ‘Remedial Days’, out this Friday, 6 December.

Since forming in 2023, Paper Lane has been unstoppable. Literally, as full-time musicians, they have not stopped working. Their debut single, ‘Better In My Head’, hit #1 on the AMRAP Metro Charts and debuted on Triple J Unearthed, setting the stage for what’s to come. And now, ‘Remedial Days’ is their best work yet.

Ever found yourself at a Christmas lunch with family you only see once a year, making small talk with near strangers, and wondering, “Why do we keep doing this?” Or stayed in touch with an ex for reasons you can’t explain, only to realize that it’s just a waste of time? Paper Lane has been there too. Enter ‘Remedial Days’. This track is for anyone who’s mastered faking love like it’s art. It’s a defiant anthem for the ones who are done with the obligatory family dinners, or the shallow check-ins with old friends and exes. It’s about those relationships that drain you without ever giving back.

This high-octane rock track kicks off with Taleena Peck’s smooth, measured vocals, building tension before bursting into a full-throttle chorus. Driven by Harry Schneider’s rapid-fire drums and Dave Rentell’s gritty bassline, the track builds momentum, all held together by Luke Martin’s signature, explosive guitars. A wave of raw, unfiltered emotion, ‘Remedial Days’ is the ultimate musical catharsis.

Remedial Days’ is out on Friday, December 6, on all major streaming platforms.
