Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Sadie Mustoe has unveiled her mesmerising single I Find You Interesting – produced by Ben Irawan and Aaron Dobos (The Avalanches, Angus & Julia Stone).
I Find You Interesting enchants with lush, emotive soundscapes and Sadie Mustoe‘s captivating vocals. Shimmering guitars carve out an expansive indie-rock foundation, while heartfelt lyrics infuse the vocal melodies with vivid and dynamic colour.
Sadie Mustoe talks about the inspiration behind I Find You Interesting: “I Find You Interesting was written in April last year when I was sick with a cold and itching to sing and write. Every moment that happens in this song I can picture in my head because the images are what I started with. Someone sitting at a bar, in a cinema, a locket necklace around their neck. To me, the song is incredibly visual. The story ended up becoming one about curiosity. Centring around someone who is introverted, mysterious and potentially a little lonely and the narrator who finds them so interesting yet struggles to form a connection.”
Previous releases have been supported by triple j Unearthed, SYN Media, 4ZZZ, Edge Radio, Radio Adelaide and blogs such as Happy Mag, LivewireAU and Beat Magazine.
Drawing from luminaries Lizzy McAlpine and Florence & The Machine, Sadie Mustoe shares her musical journey started, “at the 2013 Maldon Folk Festival in Victoria, with my family, some family friends.”
