Metalcore outfit SAME PAINS have officially unleashed their most punishing work to date with the release of terminal, available now on all major streaming platforms.
The continuation from their debut collection ‘closure – an aggregate’, terminal can be seen as the collective taking their sound to a whole new level. The track is a masterclass in chaotic metalcore, blending the erratic sounds of early 2000’s legends like Norma Jean and Every Time I Die with the modern, high-intensity weight of Knocked Loose and Alpha Wolf.
“’terminal’ is by far our most relentless track to this day, musically and lyrically.” says guitarist Ben Burrows. “We wanted to take it to the next level – to really come out the gate swinging the same way we did with ‘unsew’ when we debuted the project.”
The release is accompanied by a haunting, high-octane music video produced by Colin Jeffs at Ten of Swords Media, which perfectly captures the track’s frantic and aggressive energy.
Recorded by Brisbane-based producer Gareth Hargreaves, the single solidifies SAME PAINS’ reputation as one of the most exciting and uncompromising acts in the Australian heavy scene.
