Australian metalcore mob Sienna Skies have released their highly anticipated new EP, ‘Only Change is Permanent’ via Passion Eight Records.
The EP delves into the realisation that change is the only constant, a truth underscored by the challenges and moments of reflection experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the world grappled with the effects of the pandemic, Sienna Skies found themselves navigating a landscape defined by uncertainty and loss. Like many, they witnessed the passing of loved ones from afar, attending funerals through the lens of video calls. Conversely, the band also celebrated the arrival of new family members, marking moments of joy and hope amidst the chaos.
Vocalist Thomas Pirozzi says “We played our last show at the end of 2019. We had a handful of songs and plans to head overseas to record. Then 2020 came, and put all our plans on hold. Our priorities changed. For the first time in over a decade, We didn’t have to plan our lives around where and when we might get a chance to tour. Life was somewhat normal. But it wasn’t easy. We’d been through some trying times over that period. Some days seem darker than others, but the rain will stop eventually. Our worlds never stop changing. It is the only constant.”
The EP is to be supported by back to back domestic touring with Of Mice & Men, Dream On Dreamer, No Home and more.
Fans can expect more touring from Sienna Skies this year and next.
